The various solutions implemented in our design are put to the test during testing - this is when we collect key data, analyse performance, and prepare drivers for dynamic competitions held at competitions. In all these aspects, the Xsens MTI-680G sensors, supplied to us by Xsens Automation & Mobility - Movella, play a key role.

The aforementioned devices are key components of the autonomous systems in our car. They not only provide precise data on the vehicle's linear and angular speed, but also guarantee information on its acceleration. In addition, thanks to the combination of the IMU and GNSS, they allow us to determine the position and trajectory of our design on the track extremely accurately.

Furthermore, we use the sensors to control the traction of the car on the track. With them, we measure the difference in speed of the car in relation to the speed of each wheel. This set of data allows us to detect possible slippage, which we compensate for by reducing the torque generated by the electric motor in each drive wheel accordingly. Through these measures, we are able to maintain optimum grip and improve the acceleration and stability of the vehicle.
